Every Look from Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2018 Collection

START

Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele is not known for restraint. By now, fans have come to expect the abundance and maximalism characteristic of the Italian house ever since Michele was appointed to the brand in 2015. Animal motifs, unconventional silhouettes, and a cacophony of color have unfiltered Michele’s designs, as well as the reinterpretation of the iconic double-G logo. This Pre-Fall collection, shot in Rome, was no different, spanning from Chinese-inspired knitwear, flared pants worn with structured tunics, delicate chiffon evening gowns, and a velvet coat embellished with pearls. Juxtaposition was present throughout, with models pairing floral printed silk dresses with New York Yankees caps, a preview of the brand’s collaboration with Major League Baseball.
