Legendary fashion photographer Mario Testino has an exhibition opening tomorrow in Berlin titled Undressed, a name that betrays that the photos included are all nudes. The show will include 50 individual works spanning the entirety of Testino’s auspicious career, all of which have been blown up to be over 10 feet tall and 23 feet wide, filling three rooms of Berlin’s Museum of Photography.
The exhibition has voyeuristic quality with some shots are full frontal, some body landscapes, and other’s showcasing erotic play. Some images have previously been published, while others are unseen from Testino’s private archive. The show has been staged by the posthumous foundation of photographer Helmut Newton, whose work also focused heavily on sexuality, which makes sense given that both artists were/are sex-crazed Scorpios.
In other Testino news, comes on it was reported that his niece, Marina Testino, has been signed with The Society Management modeling agency as part of the firm’s creatives roster. The recent Parsons grad has already tried her hand at photography as well as design. Currently she’s in Lima, Peru developing her own capsule collection.
“Mario Testino: Undressed” is on view at the Museum of Photography, Jebensstraße 2, Berlin until November 19thEND
