The theme of Cartier’s 2021 Women’s Initiative is a unique one; The Ripple Effect.
The 2021 initiative is focused on harnessing the ripple effect created by women changemakers and thus paving the way for a better future.
The digital ceremony, hosted by Cartier President and CEO Cyrille Vigneron, brought together a diverse group of creatives and thinkers to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities for growth facing women right now. Some special guests included actress Yara Shahidi, journalist and author Maria Shriver, and scholar Nassim Nicholas Taleb.
Vigneron explains “For the past fifteen years, the Cartier Women’s Initiative has celebrated women impact entrepreneurs. It has long been our belief that to thrive, they need an enabling environment, a supportive ecosystem, and an empowering culture.”
The eight laureates were selected by an independent jury from among 876 applicants from 142 countries and the winners all share a commitment to fostering positive change in the world.
