Carine Roitfeld Puts a Provocative Spin on the Moncler Puffer

Reimagining the iconic Moncler puffer jacket to inspire a new form of elegant style beyond ski season continues through Moncler Voices. The initiative, which began in 2020, invites artists, curators, stylists, designers, directors, athletes, explorers, and cultural players to answer the question– “What does Moncler mean to you?” Started by Chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini, Moncler Voices has since yielded several collections that display the multi-faceted creativity of co-collaboration in fashion.

Following her 2020 Moncler Voices Paris iteration titled “20 Parisians, 20 Stories”, this time around Carine shares her take on Moncler’s classic Maya puffer jacket creating a unique blend of utilitarian sportswear and provocative styling. “This new series of images is a nod to the book and exhibition La Petite Veste Noire that Karl [Lagerfeld] and I did for Chanel, Carine Roitfeld says. I like the versatility of the puffer and its timelessness. Moncler to me means innovation, they always push the boundaries, and that’s precisely what I wanted to do here.

In the past year, Moncler has teamed up with J.W. Anderson, Craig Green, Oliver Hadlee Pearch, and many more to interpret Moncler’s house codes in a variety of possibilities in existence with the collaborative spirit. For the Spring/Summer 2021 campaign of Moncler Voices, the house develops its collaboration with a lineup of trailblazing photographers including: Koto Bolofo, Theo de Gueltzl, Oliver Hadlee-Pearch, Brett Lloyd, and Leslie Zhang.
