Rihanna has tapped Megan Thee Stallion for Savage x Fenty’s summer 2020 social media campaign, appropriately dubbed #SavagexTheeStallion. The “Savage” rapper’s bold, confident, and sexy persona in the music industry and on social media fits naturally with the lingerie brand, heralded for its inclusive and body-positive message.
According to Rihanna,“She is a risk-taker with an attitude, character, and personality”–all the boxes to check for a Savage x Fenty brand partner. The campaign images feature a fierce Stallion on all fours atop a leather chair and posed against a table wearing black and yellow lingerie sets from the brand.
Since its release in March, Stallion’s hit song “Savage” has become a viral sensation on TikTok as the soundtrack to a popular dance challenge. The following month, a remix of the song was released featuring Beyoncé. Both versions have become immensely popular on all music streaming platforms, confirming another success for Stallion after her hit song “Hot Girl Summer” dropped in 2019.
The partnership comes on the heels of a statement by Stallion, who said earlier this month that a collaboration with Rihanna would “blow her mind.” She even sported the brand while filming a TikTok dance challenge of her own song.
“In my Savage x Fenty, I feel sexy, comfortable and confident,” Stallion said. “We want all the hotties around the world to feel good about themselves exactly as they are.”
