We’re about four months out until Calvin Klein 205W39NYC’s next New York Fashion Week showstopper, but Raf Simons has the perfect thing to tide us over: the Pre-Fall 2018 collection. Shot by Willy Vanderperre, the collection’s campaign is set against the brand’s now-signature rustic barn backdrop, featuring a series of printed styles in a continued collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation.
In the campaign, models are seen wearing pre-fall designs lined with Pendleton Woolen Mills textiles and holding saddle blankets (Pendleton is another brand partner) against Warhol prints of florals, the American flag, and empty rooms in either black and white or oversaturated colors. Warhol’s work is found printed on the clothes, too, from bags to tank tops, but the pop artist’s spirit really shines through in the makeup of the clothing, like suiting reimagined in polyester or a deconstructed American flag.
This latest collaboration between Calvin Klein and Andy Warhol continues to show Simons’ vision of Americana through an artful, yet grounded lens.
Calvin Klein 205W39NYC’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection is available in stores and online.
