Thanks to Kenzo Creative Directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the princess of pop is back and more stylish than ever. Unveiled today, Britney Spears has been tapped as the newest face of the Kenzo La Collection Momento No. 2 Campaign.
Leon and Lim hatched the idea to snag Spears for the campaign because it was heavily based on the 1986 Paris runway debut of Kenzo jeans. As “the quintessential queen of denim,” it only made sense for the star to serve as the face. Cue that infamous image of rocking a denim jumpsuit alongside Justin Timberlake at the American Music Awards.
“With denim being a big part of this collection, it made it that much more appealing to me, since denim is such a big part of my own style,” Spears said.
In the line, denim thigh-high boots, baseball caps and cropped jackets harmonize alongside other street chic pieces, like mini backpacks, hoodies and printed separates that balance nostalgia with the brand’s signature bold flavor.
