Oh mon dieu! Ringardes everywhere have had their prayers answered– Emily Cooper’s eccentric fashion and male escapades aren’t over just yet. Netflix’s hit T.V. show Emily In Paris is greenlit for a season 2, announced on Instagram earlier this week.
Emily in Paris, this fall’s secret guilty pleasure, drew flack from fashion lovers and francophiles alike for its over-the-top look at the French capital. Lily Collins reprises her role as the naive Midwestern social media strategist alongside the cast of characters at luxury marketing firm Savoir. Sex And The City producer Darren Star and legendary costume designer Patricia Fields are also staying onboard for the ride.
If you’re anything like us the news is a bit exciting. We have one more season of roasting Cooper’s booties, barrettes, and baguettes. Oh là là.
Cooper’s critical boss Sylvie Grateau played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu graced us with her sophisticated and chic French style. Over the course of 10 episodes, Savoir’s matriarch pulled together sexy slit skirts and timeless leather jackets as a display of the elegant cool-girl archetype. Like Grateau, our matriarch here at CR is the style icon we all could use.
In honor of Emily in Paris‘ season 2 announcement and looking forward to thirsting over Lucas Bravo as chef Gabrielle on more time, Carine took to Instagram to show off some style comparisons between her own and the series’ beloved character.
Between matching little black dresses, provocative skirt slits, and trendy statement jewelry, it’s hard to tell the two female French icons apart.
Let’s hope Emily Cooper picks up more than just basic French on her second tour of the city.END
