The 74th British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards for the first time in its history at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 10th and 11th. Prince William was supposed to be the evening presenter as he is the president of the BAFTA since 2010, in respect to his grandfather’s passing, the Duke Of Edinburgh he was no longer a part of the BAFTA programming, “Our thoughts are with the royal family, to whom we offer our deepest sympathy at this time,” the BAFTA’s explained in a statement.
Without a live audience, the award ceremony was a live-streamed event with the best thespians and headline-making celebrities in style. This year stars turned up in spectacular and sophisticated gowns like Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor in a one-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown and The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby in a glittering Atelier Versace gown. Celeste embraced the British cool style in Turkish-British designer Dilara Findikoglu in a sparkling emerald green gown with built-in sleeves.
Men were more adventurous with their choices in memorable colorful suits such as Barry Keoghan in a blue Gucci lapel suit and Leslie Odom Jr. in a bright blue Versace suit and a flaming red coat. Dior Men presented a winning lineup with stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Atticus Ross and Kingsley Ben-Adir in elegant contemporary suits.
