At the height of the ’90s, with the outpour of success from Hill’s first and only solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (which was home to her number one hit singles “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and “Ex-Factor,” and earned her five Grammy Awards including Best New Artist and Album of the Year) she became both a fashion and music icon. Hill always took the stage ready to make a statement with bright colors, eccentric jewelry, statement hair accessories, and of course, impeccable voice.
