The jet-set chic luxury brand is stepping into a new market with a line of cosmetics called Valentino Beauty, a stunning collection of red and gold packaging embossed with the classic V logo that is consistent with the Italian brand’s signature color palette. Valentino initially announced their collection in April and will be revealing the long-awaited collection at a pop-up in London on May 31.
The brand is coming out with a large range of products, from cushion foundation to multi-use powders that can double as eye and cheek products (hence the name Eye2Cheek). Other product names include Rosso Valentino, Very Valentino, V-Lighter, Go Cushion, Eyeshadow Color-Flip, Twin Liner, Brow Trio and Magnificent Mascara. Valentino’s lipstick will notably be available in over 50 shades,
The makeup line comes at a time where brands are under close watch over their choices with color ranges and we anticipate seeing Valentino step up to the challenge with their Very Valentino foundation. The product will be available in 40 shades that were determined as a result of “extensive research on the skin tones of 5,000 women in eight countries, across every continent.” This research was meant to display a commitment to inclusivity and offering products that serve a full range of Valentino Beauty customers, allowing the brand to stay true to its commitment to “human beauty [with] a couture makeup open to all genders, ages, and cultures.”
Valentino is also looking to increase sustainability and conscious shopping by offering refill bullets for 15 of the 50 lipstick shades that can be used to swap out and reload the lipstick casings.
