Gucci has announced a new social media initiative. Following similar strategies lie #GucciGram and #24HourAce, the brand has announced #TFWGucci—which stands from That Feel When Gucci—to celebrate the release its new Le Marché des Merveilles timepiece collection. The end result is the product of a three-way collaboration between Gucci, artists, and Internet personalities.
First the house commissioned original work from image-makers like Amanda Charchian and Olaf Breuning, then they passed those images along to social media mavens like @williamcult and @youvegotnomale, who made them into memes by adding flippant captions like “7 chakaras into divination & chill and this Gucci palm asks you to read its love line, what do you do?”
Since earlier this morning, Gucci has been posting fire memes to its Instagram account as part of the rollout release. Fans of the house are being encouraged to join the fun too by creating their own memes and posting them under the TFWGucci hashtag.
