Last night, in honor of the closing of the famed German artist Anne Imhof’s exhibition “Natures Mortes” on October 24, Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci hosted a glamorous event at Palais De Tokyo in Paris. “Natures Mortes” was compromised of an all-embracing, polyphonic work, in which Imhof combined space and bodies, music and painting, and her own works with those of collegues, including artist and musical composer Eliza Douglas.
The events of last evening were preceded by an art performance, created by Imhof and Douglas. In order to presenting a collision of fashion and art, they collaborated with Tisci, combining a fashion show with a performance, culminating in a unique show experience with the artists wearing items by Burberry. Staged for a digital audience, the show was designed as an installation to immerse its audience and explore freedom of expression. Simply put, the performance celebrated the ongoing collaborative relationship between Tisci and Imhof, which began with the Burberrys Spring/Summer 2021 show
The event itself was held at the iconic YOYO club within Palais de Tokyo, featured live DJ sets by LSDXOXO, Slim Soledad, Hank Korsan and Joie Iacono, Guerre Maladie Famine, and Sad. It also saw a staggering number of fashion A-listers and friends of Burberry in-attendance to celebrate.
Our own CR Fashion Book founder and editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld made an appearance, alongside CR Parade cover stars and supermodels Candice Swanepoel, Irina Shayk, and Janet Jumbo. Other celebs at the event included actor Ezra Miller, model Mariacarla Boscono, curator Vittoria Matarrese, rapper Shygirl, actress Isabelle Huppert, singer Mahmood, and stylist Edem Dossou, all decked-out in their finest Burberry attire.END
