Pierpaolo Piccioli is paying homage to the city of Venice in the upcoming Valentino Haute Couture show. The latest collection, also known as Valentino Des Ateliers, will be presented at the Arsenale on July 15th at 7:30 pm and live-streamed worldwide.
The Arsenale was the largest production center in Venice during the pre-industrial era and is currently known as the host location for the International Art and Architecture Exhibitions and the International Dance, Music, and Theatre Festivals of La Biennale di Venezia. The historical landmark Gaggiandre, which is part of the Arsenale, consists of two grand shipyards and an internal dock built in the late 1500s.
Pierpaolo recently posted himself getting tattooed by an artist called Timo at the Piazza Mignanelli in Rome, which could hint at the upcoming show.
We expect the collection to resonate with the historically rich location connecting the Italian heritage house with its roots.
