Fashion month is notoriously full of iconic moments, from the disastrous (ceilings collapsing, track lights falling) to the downright comedic (catfights, streakers). Today, on the last day of Paris Fashion Week, the fashion world was blessed with a moment that falls into the latter category—or the former, depending on how you look at it.
During the finale of Virginie Viard‘s third show for Chanel, held on the rooftop of the Grand Palais, an audience member jumped onto the runway, briefly walking among the likes of house mainstays Kaia Gerber, Vittoria Ceretti, and Gigi Hadid, who resembled a club bouncer as she sternly escorted her off the catwalk.
The spectator-turned-catwalk-invader, who was cloaked in tweed and a bowler hat, was revealed to be a French YouTube personality and comedian named Marie Benoliel. She also crashed the Etam lingerie show earlier in the week.
At the very least, no clothes were harmed (read: splattered by red paint) in the making of Benoliel’s stunt.
