Supermodel Naomi Campbell is the latest muse for Chanel. The iconic fashion house is set to release its latest campaign for the new J12 watch. Originally launched in 2000, the J12 revamped the world of luxury watchmaking, and became a classic staple for the fashion house. The new redesign offers a new caliber movement while offering the originality and beauty of the classic piece.
To represent the priceless milestone of the timepiece, Chanel tapped nine different women including Naomi Campbell, Ali MacGraw, Keira Knightley, Claudia Schiffer, Lily-Rose Depp, Liu Wen, and Vanessa Paradis to share their personal experience about a second that changed their lives.
Campbell, who wears the white J12 watch in the campaign, reveals that her favorite time of day is sunset and her first Chanel memory was being dressed up in the studio in camellias flowers.
“We can explain that time is something extremely personal while at the same time, we are all more or less linked by this subjective experience with time,” Thomas du Pré de Saint-Maur, head of creative resources for the house’s perfumes, beauty, watches and jewelry activities,” said about the campaign. “They’re not the same—the idea is that by taking a certain number of experiences from different ages, different cultures, different life paths, the one thing that links them is a history with Chanel.”END
