Jennifer Lopez has been a fashion icon since the ‘90s, and continues to make headlines for her signature sultry style. For Spring/Summer 2020, she’s lending her smoldering gaze and hourglass figure to the Guess and Marciano campaign. Embodying the sister brands’ glamorous allure, J.Lo appears in several ensembles at golden hour, including an eyelet set from Guess and curve-hugging backless dress from Marciano. The campaign marks a return for the multihyphenate star who also fronted Guess’ Spring/Summer 2018 ads.
Art directed by Paul Marciano, the chief creative officer of Guess, Inc., and lensed by Tatiana Gerusova, the new images show the brands’ shared sex appeal, with each conveying a modern take on Old Hollywood glamour. Getting into character for the shoot, J.Lo drew on timeless references from the entertainment world.
“The vibe this time was a mix between an Italian film star from the ‘60s, mixed with Madonna from the ‘80s, mixed with Sofia Loren,” Lopez said. “It’s so much fun to get into the character and to make that happen. The clothes and setting of the shoot really worked well together to make this campaign come to life.”
The star had a standout year, from her performance in Hustlers to taking the runway at Versace’s Spring/Summer 2020 show. The spotlight will continue to shine on her as she is set to take the stage at the upcoming Super Bowl LIV halftime show. With the addition of Guess and Marciano, she also fronts several prominent Spring/Summer 2020 campaigns including that of Versace and Coach.END
