Brand new to Tom Ford Beauty, which the the designer launched with Estée Lauder in 2005, Tom Ford Research is the most formal realization of the designer’s obsession with perfection. Part skincare line part real-life research facility, the new project, focuses on a theory that it calls “the Caffeine Effect,” an idea that is largely founded on the stimulant’s ability to increase skin’s natural energy, boosts hydration, and leave it looking brought through promoting the movement of sodium ions. Through these studies, Tom Ford Research scientists formulated three key ingredients containing caffeine—white porcelain cacao, caffeine, and gyokuro (a type of green tea)—into two, unisex products meant to energize, refine, hydrate, and transform the skin.
Launching today online, Tom Ford Research’s Serum and Crème Concentrate are the results of intense clinical studies and dermatologist testing to realize the designer’s vision of perfect skin. Meant to be used successively, the products only require a small amount for radiant-energized-looking skin with diminished pores and fewer lines and wrinkles. In fact, over 96 percent of testers that used both claimed their skin felt softer and smoother after just one week.
“My vision is to merge breakthrough skin science with true luxury, to create transformative skincare regardless of skin type or gender,” Ford said in a statement. “Working closely with a team of scientists, we develop what is truly remarkable and that which delivers undeniable visible results.”
